Apagha is a project that came to life almost by chance, one winter evening over a glass of wine in a cozy tavern. Giorgia and Rodrigo were having one of their usual intimate conversations—those nights when they drift into a bubble of ideas, talking about all the things that inspire them. That evening, the conversation turned to their everyday passions: design, aesthetics, travel, and the allure of vintage. They soon discovered a shared fascination for design objects, whether branded or not, found in flea markets and lovingly brought back to life after patient searches, ready for a new existence.
Curiosity and a desire to explore have always been at the heart of their bond, united by a shared passion for uncovering treasures of the past hidden in cities around the world. Over time, however, Giorgia realized that calling Apagha a "chance" project wasn't entirely accurate. In truth, it felt like the result of an inner discovery, a journey that had slowly found its way out into the world, blossoming into Apagha. For Giorgia, this project revealed a creativity she never knew she had, while for Rodrigo, who has always lived through creativity, Apagha became another expression of his nomadic and dynamic spirit.
Their partnership has created an authentic and spontaneous project that reflects their essence without ever feeling forced. Yet Apagha is not just about uncovering and restoring objects from the past. It’s about rediscovering hidden beauty, appreciating it, and making it accessible to all. The name itself, inspired by the Italian word "appagare" (to satisfy), embodies this philosophy: purchasing a piece of design or a vintage object brings a sense of fulfillment, elevating your space with something unique that tells a story and integrates seamlessly into daily life in a special way.
Though the project is still in its early stages, they are learning to grow and bring Apagha to the community they dream of building.
